Ashley Fernandez has been with B&I Contractors for 16 years, starting his career with the company as a Project Engineer immediately after earning his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida. Through years of dedication and experience, he advanced to Project Manager, leading a variety of projects including schools, stadiums, central energy plants, and healthcare facilities. One of his most notable projects was the four-year renovation and expansion of Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers.

In 2016, Ashley was promoted to Senior Project Manager, where he played a key role in developing B&I’s Project Management team. His leadership continued to grow, leading to his promotion as Regional Manager of West Central Florida in 2021. In 2024, as part of a corporate restructure to support B&I’s ongoing expansion, he was named Vice President of West Central Florida, where he oversees and leads HVAC & Plumbing Operations in the region.

He finds fulfillment in building strong teams and mentoring future leaders, ensuring the continued growth and success of the company. He takes pride in contributing to meaningful projects in healthcare and education that make a lasting impact on the community.

Ashley is actively involved in the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, and ASHRAE. He holds a Certified Mechanical Contractors License and serves as a Qualifier for B&I Contractors. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he values communication and collaboration in his leadership approach.

Beyond work, Ashley enjoys playing slow-pitch softball and mountain biking when the weather allows. His bucket list includes visiting all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums—having already checked off 23—and traveling the world to explore historical landmarks. He has been married since 2011 and is a proud father of two daughters, Penelope and Zoe.
