Construction Prefabrication

Prefabricated construction is a method of building construction where the structural parts such as floors, walls, or entire rooms are constructed in a factory setting far from a construction site. Once they are created, transported and reassembled to final location to create its complete structure.

B&I Contractors helps to speedup your construction of commercial and residential buildings with exceptional construction service. We owns and operates one of Florida’s premier construction prefabrication facilities, serving Fort Myers, Tampa, Miami, Naples, Sarasota, and surrounding regions. We are 100% employee-owned (ESOP) and bring over 6 decades of experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing to every prefabricated construction project.

Our prefabrication program is recognized nationally, and the sheet metal division is ranked among the ENR Top Sheet Metal Firms and earned SNIPS Magazine’s Sheet Metal Fabrication Contractor of the year award in 2022. That’s why, we strive to complete your project with minimal noise and construction debris, so that you can get back to your business with less disturbance.

Benefits of Prefabricated Construction

Exceptional Quality Control: Manufacturing of parts in a controlled environment ensures precise measurements and fewer defects.

Less waste & Eco-friendly: Factories precision leads to less material waste. It also emits less carbon footprints as materials that are leftover can be recycled and reused immediately.

Less Site Disturbance: It reduces the noise, dust, and disturbance to the surrounding neighbors with minimal on-site work.

How Prefabrication Works at B&I

BIM/VDC Coordination: Our in-house BIM/VDC team utilizes Revit and Navisworks software to create detailed 3D models that drive fabrication drawings. Virtual clash detection finds conflicts between MEP systems even before a single component is cut, and eliminates costly on-site rework.

Shop Fabrication: Components such as pipe spools, ductwork, plumbing assemblies, and electrical racks are fabricated in our dedicated facilities by using state-of-the-art equipment.

Quality Control: Every component at B&I is fabricated, inspected, and tagged before it leaves our shop.

Just-in-Time Delivery:  Our on-time delivery ensures you get your construction work done at time without any disruption.

Rapid Installation: Our pre-tested, pre-assembled components go from delivery truck to installed system in a fraction of the time required for conventional construction.
