With 14 years at B&I Contractors, Jon Castro has been a driving force in transforming B&I’s manufacturing capabilities. Starting his career as a foreman, Jon advanced through roles as superintendent and department manager, where he significantly expanded the fabrication shop’s output from under half a million to over 3 million pounds of metal annually. His dedication to innovation led him to implement cutting-edge technology, such as automated labor tracking dashboards with Revit and PowerBI, to enhance both efficiency and precision in the fabrication process.
Jon is known for his tech-savvy approach and his ability to build lasting relationships. Passionate about people development, he spearheaded a Leadership Pipeline program, enabling team members to build skills and progress in their careers—a contribution he finds deeply rewarding.
His accomplishments have garnered industry recognition, including a spot on ACHR News’ 40 Under 40 list in 2023. Under his guidance, B&I’s sheet metal division has ranked nationally on ENR’s Top Sheet Metal Firms and earned the title of Sheet Metal Fabrication Contractor of the Year from SNIPS Magazine in 2022.
A Boston native and lifelong hockey fan, Jon has set his sights on running a marathon and visiting every NHL arena. He describes himself as a team player, a learner, and a focused leader who brings a spirit of progress to every project.
