Matt Mason serves as the Vice President of HVAC & Plumbing Operations at B&I Contractors, where he has been a dedicated team member for 23 years. A Tampa native, he attended Tampa Bay Technical High School. Matt began his career at B&I as a Journeyman, steadily advancing through roles as Foreman, Superintendent, and Trade Manager before stepping into his current leadership position.

Professionally, Matt is known for fostering collaboration and building strong relationships within his teams. He has a natural talent for finding creative solutions to complex problems, enhancing both teamwork and project success. Matt is passionate about cultivating a supportive and inclusive work environment, emphasizing the importance of listening, valuing contributions, and giving constructive feedback. He’s particularly motivated by mentoring and coaching emerging leaders, ensuring they feel valued and have the same opportunities he was given.

In addition to his role at B&I, Matt is active in the community, serving as a board member of the Tri County Apprenticeship Academy (TCAA) and as an event coordinator for the ABC National Craft Competition Committee (NCCC). His professional certifications include AWS Certified Welding Inspector and State of Florida Certified General Contractor, further underscoring his technical expertise and commitment to quality.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors, and being with his family. His personal goal is to visit all of America’s National Parks, reflecting his love for nature and adventure.
