B&I Contractors is recognized as “Business of the Year” in Breakthrough Awards

Fort Myers, Fla. – B&I Contractors was selected and awarded as Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida’s “Business of the Year” for 2020. The honors were presented at the Breakthrough Award ceremony, held at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre on Tuesday, May 18. The annual event recognizes individuals and businesses who have advanced the Goodwill Mission throughout the prior year.

B&I Contractors has provided mechanical and electrical service to Goodwill SWFL for the past 15 years, with some major projects completed in 2020. Goodwill SWFL selected B&I Contractors not only for their long-standing business relationship, but also for their shared vision in providing a hand-up to the community through opportunity and education. B&I Contractors has not only provided financial support to help fund Goodwill programs and services, but every year they also sponsor a decorated Christmas Tree for the annual Festival of Trees fundraiser held at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. Each December, that tree is raffled off to a lucky winner raising funds to support Goodwill mission services.

Goodwill SWFL is a nonprofit organization that is committed to serving people with disabilities and disadvantages by offering life-changing opportunities to achieve independence. They have been providing services to people with disabilities and disadvantages since 1966 in five counties of Southwest Florida: Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Glades & Hendry counties.
